Frequently Asked Questions
What is WaterSwitch?
WaterSwitch is a fully automatic device that has the ability to detect the level of water inside the tank so it can ensure a seamless supply of water to the home without any interruption. When the tank is filled during rainfall, WaterSwitch detects the level of water in the tank rising off the bottom, and automatically diverts all demands on the system to be supplied with the available rainwater. When the water level in the tank falls below a specified level, the WaterSwitch seamlessly switches all demands on the system over to mains water temporarily, to ensure that supply is not interrupted. This ensures that supply of water in never interrupted, and that your customer is maximising their use of rainwater and therefore maximising their savings!
I am interested in buying a WaterSwitch but how much does it cost?
With water being a heightened issue at state and federal level the state governments are offering rebates to householders on the installation of water tanks with incentives for you to connect to your toilet. By taking advantage of these rebates, customers will be able to reduce the cost of the overall water saving package, not to mention the costs saved on your water bills. If you consider WaterSwitch as an investment for your household water plan the cost is minimal. A water conservation pack inclusive of a tank, pump, plumbing connection plus a WaterSwitch should cost you approximately $2200 - $3500 depending on the size of your requirements. Best to contact you local dealer or tank manufacturer for a more accurate quotation.
Does water switch use a combination of tank water and mains water at any one time?
No, WaterSwitch only uses a single source at any one time. It does not use a tank water and mains water combination to provide water for your application. This means when using rainwater you are saving cost by not using mains water supply, and you are helping to conserve our most precious resource.
